Fixed Costs
Costs that remain constant irrespective of the volume of service delivered.

Floor Price
Minimum acceptable price at which the product can be launched.

Focus Group (see Research Interviews)

Forecast
An estimate of the future value of a variable, e.g. market size, product sales.

Formulary
Limited list of pharmaceuticals to be used in individual hospitals, regions and even groups of primary care practices, to conserve costs. Can also be a predetermined list of drugs reimbursable under a health plan.

Formulary Committee
European term meaning the same as D&T Committee. (see also Drug and Therapeutics Committee)

Formulation
Method of drug delivery (e.g. tablet, injection, transdermal patch, inhalation, suppository).

Fulfilment House
Company which provides an outside service in responding to a sales promotion or direct marketing campaign.

Full Service Agency
Agency which provides a wide range of marketing communication services including creative, planning, media buying and may also incorporate other areas such as medical education, public relations and market research.
