Getting Ready
How to find us
Adelphi Mill, Grimshaw Lane,

Free, onsite parking
We provide onsite parking to all staff members, from day one! Parking is located next to the Mill.
Transport links
Adelphi Mill is a ten minute drive from Macclesfield to the south and approximately 30 minutes from Didsbury to the north. There is a regular bus route which runs between Macclesfield and Bollington.
Accommodation advice
We are happy to assist with relocation advice where possible.
Many of our ‘relocators’ use sites such as Housemates
for Macclesfield. 
This is a local based company offering shared accommodation
available on a short-term basis, enabling you the opportunity to find out more about the area before committing to a longer term lease.
Your first day
Working hours – start time
Our usual working hours are 917:30 Monday to Friday.
On your first day we would recommend arriving at 8:45am
giving you enough time to park and arrive at reception.

What to bring
We will be in touch prior to your start date in relation to any documentation you may need to provide prior to your first day.

What to wear
Our dress code is business casual attire MondayThursday and we dress down in casual wear on a Friday.

Where to go when you arrive
When arriving, head through the main entrance and take the stairs or lift to reception, located on the fifth floor.

Photos taken for ID
A photo will be taken on your first day for your Adelphi
employee pass.

Downtime
Independent onsite gym – ‘AW Muscle & Fitness’
All Adelphi employees can register for gym membership on us! This will provide access to all equipment and classes.
Sports teams
We have various ‘Adelphi’ sports teams, including seven-a-side football teams and other activities, including frequent walking groups (weather dependent!) and gym activities.
Local shops and eateries
Bollington offers a range of eateries within a short walk or
drive away from Adelphi Mill. Here are some of our favourites:

Adelphi Academy
On joining you will become part of our Adelphi Academy 2019-20 Development Programme. The Adelphi Academy has been designed to support your development as part of a community of new graduates and PhDs across Adelphi Group. This includes social events, a dedicated communication platform and a bespoke 12-month programme of interactive training workshops.

We have a busy social calendar throughout the year which ranges from company team parties to Group New Year celebrations to charity activities. Your social representative in your company will
keep you updated.

 

Charity and fundraising
We support all kinds of community and charity initiatives including  Children in Need, Sport Relief, Red Nose Day and regular initiatives with East Cheshire Hospice, Macclesfield Town Football in the Community Health Hearts Scheme, UNICEF and many other local and mainstream charities. These are coordinated through our ‘InisdeOut Squad’ – Ask Alison how you can get involved.

 

64 Club
As a Friday treat we finish at 5pm for complimentary drinks and snacks together at 64 Club. Join us for a glass of wine, bottle of beer or soft drink.

How you will be supported
Hopefully you have already picked up some useful information, but if you have any questions at all before you join us please feel free to reach out to Martina our Group HR Manager at [email protected].
If you want we can connect you with other staff who are joining
us around the same time and maybe you can discuss transport, living accommodation, etc.  If you would like to be part of
this group please contact James who will “introduce” you

On your first day with us we will provide you with information about when and how you will receive your salary, your holiday entitlement and other important stuff.

 

Opportunities for career advancement
As well as the Academy programme, you will be provided with relevant training needed to progress and enhance your job skills. This will come in various forms including on the job coaching, mentoring and classroom style training modules.
You will, of course, have a line manager, and also, most probably, a project lead. You will have your own personal development plan discussions around objective setting and performance review.
You can expect to be provided with the training needed and
the opportunities to grow and progress.
