What is Adelphi for the Future?
Adelphi for the Future is what we care about; it is our people, our place in our communities, our planet and our principles by which we operate. Combined, they inspire the way forward for Adelphi as a business with a purpose.
The initiative began by bringing together a cross-company team of individuals within the Group who have an interest in making our workplace better and ensuring our operations are governed by the highest ethical principles. We brainstormed together, and created a framework for which Adelphi could develop operational strategies around four key pillars. With these aims in mind, Adelphi for the Future was established.
What could be more important than the future, indeed all our futures? I have always felt Adelphi people have been interested in the wider world and our local community. We work in healthcare and on great new launches and approaches that truly help people and that is the basis of who we are.
We have always supported local needs i.e. in schools and sports, and at a global level issues such as initiatives in Africa supported through UNICEF. But the world and its needs are becoming ever more complex and demanding, and that’s why we launched Adelphi for the Future. This is our commitment to give us greater purpose and definition for sustained work through our various teams. It’s a strategy for all, and I believe it is not just the ‘right thing to do‘, but the appropriate business one.
